Our Story
Although a relative newcomer in the renewable energy industry, our story begins years earlier, in 2009.
Radical Energy founder and CEO, Oliver Clifton, who was by then an award-winning commercial and documentary filmmaker, was sent to capture daily highlights from the UNFC Climate Change meeting in Copenhagen.
"It was an intoxicating time, Obama was in the first year of his presidency and had just received the Nobel Peace Prize. It was his greatest opportunity to make his mark.
Al Gore was riding a wave of success following the release of An Inconvenient Truth and the world was watching eagerly for global leaders to take action".
Fast forward to 2019, Extinction Rebellion had become a divisive public voice in the politics of climate change and Covid-19 was about to grip the world.
Oliver had by this time, changed track to making film based communications for NGOs and environmental groups, also big energy corporations, Two sides of the same coin, he says.
The stage was set for something new. The kernel of an idea... Radical Energy was soon to be born.
